Meet Robert Dasher

On February 28th, I was sitting on my couch scrolling through LinkedIn when I came across a post from my cousin. The post detailed a mission trip that he and his company had recently attended in Costa Rica. The experience looked so fun and rewarding that I felt compelled to message him about possibly joining a mission trip myself.

Fast forward to July 13th—I boarded a plane to Mérida, Mexico, filled with a mix of excitement and apprehension. I joined the team and, together, we visited six to eight churches over a three-day period. This journey changed my life forever. The passionate love for the Lord shown by the community members, especially the children, left a profound impact on me. One church, in particular, stood out and inspired me to start an organization aimed at helping churches build permanent structures where pastors and their congregations can worship and bring families to Christ.

During the trip, I had the opportunity to talk with my cousin in the back of a coach bus about the mission work his business supports. The conversation was so inspiring that it sparked an idea in my heart—how I, too, could make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. As I headed back to the United States, I called my wife, fired up with enthusiasm, to tell her that I wanted to raise enough money to build a church. Naturally, she thought I was crazy, especially considering how anxious and doubtful I had been before the mission trip.

For the next three weeks, the first thought in my mind every morning was how God could use me to help build a church—to bring families and non-believers to Christ. After discussing the idea with family and friends for over two months, my wife and I decided to form an organization in honor of the woman who brought me to Christ many years ago—my grandmother, Dezzie Lou Jordan. After much prayer and deliberation, we named the organization Jordan’s Legacy of Grace and began planning our first event to raise funds for building our first church.

Our organization has since partnered with ICM (International Cooperating Ministries) to help locate pastors and congregations in need of assistance to build permanent structures for their growing communities.

We are committed to making a difference and spreading the love of Christ through our mission—one church at a time. Join us on this journey of faith and community building.

Meet ICM

OUR STORY

It was 1986, and Dois Rosser, Jr., couldn’t stop thinking about one thing: how to bring the most transformative Bible teaching he’d ever encountered to pastors worldwide.

Mr. Rosser knew that this teaching, a complete survey of the Bible written by Virginia pastor Dick Woodward, had the potential to transform lives across languages and cultures.

Launching International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) to get the Bible study into the hands of indigenous pastors, Mr. Rosser began partnering with church leaders in India to translate Woodward’s study into Hindi.

OVERCOMING A KEY BARRIER TO DISCIPLESHIP

But Mr. Rosser soon discovered a critical roadblock hindering the discipleship of Christians in other countries…

Without a permanent church building, congregations lacked legitimacy, particularly in hostile cultures. Christians had no place to worship legally or safely. And they struggled to scale their efforts to train leaders, make disciples, and plant churches.

When Mr. Rosser learned he could empower congregations to build their own buildings for very little cost, he expanded ICM’s vision and set out to put a church within walking distance of everyone in the world.

A HEALTHY CHURCH TRANSFORMS LIVES AND COMMUNITIES

For nearly 40 years, ICM has been partnering with indigenous ministries, equipping them with a permanent structure and Bible study materials made just for them.

And this changes everything. With these two vital resources, believers are transformed into local evangelists, and multiplying churches are planted in some of the world’s least-reached mission fields.
